Ace is the raw material of sulfonamides and is used as analgesic, antipyretic and preservative.Used to manufacture dye intermediates , p-nitro and p-phenylenediamine.It was used in great quantities in the manufacture of paracetamilobenzene sulfonyl chloride during the second world war.Acetanilide is also used to make thioacetamide.In industry, it can be used as accelerator of rubber vulcanization, stabilizer of fiber fat coating, stabilizer of hydrogen peroxide, and used for synthetic camphor, etc.
 

Acetanilide, scientific name N- benzene (yl) acetamide, white shiny sheet crystal or white crystalline powder, is the raw material of sulfonamides, can be used as analgesics, antipyretics, preservatives and dye intermediates.
