Alginate is a kind of natural polysaccharide distributed widely in brown seaweed. It is formed by reaction between alginic acid in the algae and minerals in the seawater.Alginic Acid, a polysaccharide is composed of two types of Uronic acid: Mannuronic acid unit (M) and Guluronic acid unit (G), which from three kinds of polymer segments of blocks: M blocks, G blocks and M&G random blocks.
