Product Description

 

Calcium propionate or calcium propanoate, the calcium salt of propionic acid, is a common bread and meat preservative which functions by inhibiting the growth of mold & other bacterial and therefore prolong food shelf life.

It also provides nutritional value as a source of calcium.

The European food additive number for it is E282.

We produce calcium acetate, sodium acetate, potassium acetate, calcium propionate, sodium propionate and sodium benzoate in pharm, food and industry.

 

 

Application

Food:

It is used as a preservative in a wide variety of products that include bakery, cheese, meat, dairy products and etc.

Pharmaceutical:

It's used as an anti-microbial agent in pharmaceutical industry. It can also be used to improve patient's health by inhibiting the growth of fungi and preventing the mould growth.

Feed:

It functions as a mold inhibitor and treat milk fever for swine, ruminant (horses and cattles), poultry, fish, pet and other animal feed.

Cosmetics:

It acts as a preservative in cosmetic and personal care products.
